Camera in hand since I was six. Decades on, the patience hasn't changed — long mornings in hides, slow walks at the woodland edge, learning to recognise calls before silhouettes.
My work has been recognised by international photography awards, most recently as an Official Selection at the International Photography Awards 2026 — but the truer measure is what wildlife trusts me with: a closer minute, a quieter glance.
Based in the UK. An advocate for wild spaces and the environmental protections they need to remain wild.
I also make Thicket, a free birdsong app for iPhone and Android that knows when to stay quiet.
It listens and names the birds singing around you, entirely on your phone, then leaves you alone until something new turns up. No ads, no tracking, and no account needed. I built it for the same long mornings in hides this work comes from.
